The historic Casa Terriera is situated in the heart of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene hills the cradle of Prosecco Superiore and takes its name from the family of aristocrats who first lived there who are the ancestors of the Sossai family.
The knowledge of ancestral winemaking traditions, transmitted through strong family links is currently interpreted by Pier Luigi who has developed into a perceptive and intuitive wine producer who is able to select the grape, choose the best time to harvest, manage the fermentation process to enhance the wine and highlight its organoleptic properties so that every glass tells the same story in the palate of the connoisseur.
The family tradition has started the latest part of its journey as Pier Luigi is passing his skills and passion to his daughters Francesca and Alessandra who are carrying on the tradition and have introduced Brut and Extra Dry versions of “CASA TERRIERA” PROSECCO D.O.C.G. Conegliano-Valdobbiadene, both vivacious wines that reflect the history and importance of prosecco in the family.
The property is surrounded by many hectares of land of well draining sandy soil that is kept moist throughout the growing season by aquifers that drain water from the Alps, these conditions together with the warming rays of the sun are ideal conditions to mature the Glera grapes that are fundamental for the production of prosecco.
